Future Matches UFC 184: Main Event

Ronda Rousey vs. Winner of Bethe Correia vs. Holly Holm

Rousey is off to film another movie which gives the division some time to find a true contender. A lot of people point to Holly Holm who did not look spectacular in her win on the PPV. Correia looks more of the contender after beating a few of Rousey’s friends. Let the two undefeated fighters face off which will make another intriguing match up with Rousey, so she can face off with another 0 must go match.

Cat Zingano vs. Jessica Eye

Both fighters want to be farther up the title shot ladder than they are because of Zingano’s loss in 14 seconds and Eye’s problems with keeping her wins as wins. The two of them still pose a threat to Rousey despite their performances in other fights. Let them fight each other and see who wants it more.

Future Matches UFC 184: Main Card

Holly Holm vs. Bethe Correia

As stated above both fighters want the title shot and have reasons to claim that shot. It would make sense not to eliminate to contenders, but with Rousey off to film a movie, the fight makes sense in the scheme of the division.

Jake Ellenberger vs. Tarec Saffiedine

Both were thought to be big contenders in the division at one time, but losses to other fighters have eliminated that thought from most people’s minds. The winner of the match between the two would at least secure them as the gatekeeper while the other will need to rebuild from the bottom.

Alan Jouban vs. Tim Means

Both had huge wins in the Octagon this weekend, but the issue is that they also have recent losses. To eliminate the memory of those losses let the two face off against each other and see who can get a shot to break into the top 15.

Tony Ferguson vs. Edson Barboza

Ferguson now sits at 8-1 in the UFC with a claim to fight anyone in the top 10. While most of them are locked up in fights, it is time to see if Barboza is really wroth of the top 10. Then let someone that deserves a shot to crack the top ten fight Barboza to see who really deserves the spot.
