Gabriel Miglioli fights for the belt of the Ring of Combat

Appointed by Demian Maia as the new Brazilian phenomenon up to 70 kg category, Gabriel Miglioli will soon have more a confrontation that can make his career gain even more visibility. The athlete representative of Arena MMA/99 will make his next fight on Feb. 4, in the event Ring of Combat 34, which takes place in Elmwood Park, New Jersey. The match will be against John Cholish, fighter from Renzo Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, and worth fighting for the title of the category up to 155 lbs.

 

About the opportunity to fight in the event, the also representative of Shaolin Jiu-Jitsu, Miglioli told us that the invitation came while he was training at the academy’s headquarters in New York.



"The opportunity arose when I was there in New York with Shaolin. We had a close fight in the same event at the last minute and the opponent does not want to fight, then the owner of the event tried another that did not accept. Then the owner said he would put me to fight for the belt, because the champion can not refuse to fight”, explains Miglioli.

 

In his most recent fight, Gabriel Miglioli defeated John George by TKO, in Washington Combat – Battle of the Legends, in May 2010.
