Ground Control Championship Taking Place at Reliant Arena in Houston

August 06, 2006- Travis Tooke and Definitive Productions, LLC are proud to announce the first official Ground Control Championship. This one of a kind event will take place November 4, 2006, at the prestigious Reliant Arena(www.reliantpark.com) in Houston, Texas. This event will offer divisions in both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Submission Wrestling. These divisions will consists of numerous categories including those for men, women, teens and adults of all skill levels.


All grappling styles are welcome to participate including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Wrestling, Sambo, Submission Wrestling, etc. Along with the regular divisions, the GCC will host several super fights, featuring some of the best grapplers on the planet. Among them will be Marcelo Garcia, Mike Fowler, Rafael Lovato, Jr. and many of the top national and international athletes. This will also be the first official Rated(www.grapplingratings.com) grappling tournament in Texas.


Beautiful awards will be given to all competitors who place in the top three and all advanced gold medalists will receive athletic gear from Gameness Fightwear(www.gameness.net).


Regardless of outcome, every child competitor will receive a participation award. This tournament is set to be the biggest grappling competition in Texas’ history, and athletes from all over the world are flying in to take part in this amazing event.
