Holly Holm and Eddie Wineland Return to Octagon

Holly Holm and Eddie Wineland are returning to the Octagon and their pursuit of their respective Bantamweight titles. Their fights add depth to their cards.

Holly Holm is an interesting matchup for current UFC Women’s Bantamweight champion considering that she is undefeated. Also, she is a ver talented combat professional having been a boxer with a 33-2 record. Before joining the UFC, she went 7-0 with six finishes in those fights. She extended to an 8-0 fighter with her first Octagon winner.

She will now face off with Marion Reneau at UFC Fight Night 71 in San Diego. She is known for being snubbed to be on TUF due to her extended age having been 37 years olds. When she finally did join the UFC, she won her first two fights in impressive manner. Now, if she can win over Holm, she will turn even more heads.

Eddie Wineland is a former WEC champion and challenged for the UFC title but fell to Renan Barao. After picking up a win, he faced off with Johnny Eduardo and was knocked out and broke his jaw. Now, he returns to face TUF veteran and Miesha Tate boyfriend Bryan Caraway at UFC on Fox 16.

Caraway came off of TUF and won two fights until he was beaten by Takeya Mizugaki. That fight was close though with a split decision loss. He finished his next two fights by submission. Unfortunately, he ran into the powerhouse known as Raphael Assuncao who has won seven straight at 135 and been undefeated. Now, he has a chance to take on a former champion and title challenger but both of them have taken off a tremendous amount of time. Will they be able to return to form? Well, only one will come UFC on Fox 16.
