We would like to first thank everyone that came out for the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu seminar on Friday, March 23rd, and made it a success. Carlson Gracie Jr. ran through a series of techniques, showing each one with explicit detail. There was no technique too advanced for anyone but the amount of detail in each one made it valuable for all levels of practitioners. He began showing some half guard sweeps and set ups, then moved on to a back attack series and then some closed guard techniques. This was a huge event for the Indianapolis Brazilian Jiu Jitsu scene.
The mats were full at Carlson Gracie Indianapolis Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. We had visitors from all over Indiana and some up from Kentucky. Carlson brought a friend of his, Justin Gaffney, the owner of a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school in Northern California to also assist him with the techniques.
It was a great time for all of the Carlson Gracie Indianapolis Jiu Jitsu members and non-members alike. Maintaining our open door policy for all events, we had a good mix of people that attended. Everyone that came got a lot out of the Jiu Jitsu Seminar. We plan to have Calson Gracie Jr back again this year along with a lot of other names to be announced.
