LOS ANGELES, California — It’s been a busy summer for Joe Rogan. On top of his regular commentating duties with the UFC, he he received his black belt in 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu from Eddie Bravo on Wednesday, June 27th.
Rogan followed that up by earning his black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu last night from red-black belt Jean Jacques Machado. Rogan’s black belt from Bravo in June was in 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu, which is for no-gi. His black belt last night from Machado was in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for the gi.
Bravo also received a black belt under Machado in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu before founding 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu to concentrate on his no-gi work, which is known for its unique glossary of terms and rubber guard work.
Rogan has been training in the sport for over a decade and is one of the most well-known and visible ambassadors to jiu-jitsu worldwide. Congrats to Joe Rogan from everyone at OTM on his well-deserved promotion!
