John Lineker ready to challenge in Shooto Brazil

 With only 20 years old and with nearly 20 fights in his record, John Lineker, athlete of the town of Paranagua, 100 km from Curitiba, and with major victories over experienced athletes like Wagner Galeto (Gile Ribeiro) and Jetron Amaral (UDL), now will have his first fight in Shooto Brazil, in the category up to 60kg, in Brasilia, on the 17th. His opponent will be the tough Alvino Torres, who has in his credit the title of K-1 Brazil and national titles in karate, and belongs to Constrictor academy, which has as its greatest exponent the athlete of UFC, Paulo Thiago.

 

John Lineker is an athlete coming from the striking, but today belongs to the team Emporium Jiu Jitsu, which is led by black belt Marcelo Ribeiro. "John is a young athlete, very hard at striking and is becoming very difficult to take him down", said the black belt.

 

Shooto is one of the most traditional events in the world and definitely consolidated in Brazil by the organization of André Pederneiras.
