Team Jordan off to Emirates Cup AMMAN (JT) — The Jordanian Jiu-Jitsu team on Friday is to compete in Abu Dhabi at the 2nd Emirates Cup for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, according to a statement from the team. The team will be led by President of the Jiu-Jitsu Association Zaid Mirza. The delegation also includes Zaid Abu Soud, Muhannad Smara, Mohammed Mirza, Zaid Khurma, Zaid Abu Ragheb, Ashraf Shishani, Adi Hussein, Yazan Salhab, Ahmad Shishani, Odai Al Kurdi Thabet, Taher and Saif Dirani. Prizes of $1,000, $500 and $300 will be awarded to all 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners respectively. Best player and fastest submission will also receive prize money. A trophy will be given to the winning country. Under the patronage of Sheikh Tahnoon Ben Nahayan, the international tournament will take place in the Abu Dhabi Combat Centre. The Jordanian team is being sponsored by Jordan Aviation, Gulf Oil, Chilli Ways, Aquatreat, Jordan Snack Food, Lahham Group and Deeb Al Kurdi.
