Jungle Fight 5 was held last November 26th and great fights made the happiness of the audience that saw the show. The organization ran by Wallid Ismail, said to be satisfied and waits that in 2006 Jungle wins the world.
Ivan Batman x Andrius Tigrao
Stalled fight. Batman kept dominating his opponent in the three rounds, taking the fight to the ground and working from there until the fight ended and the judges gave him the unanimous decision.
Luciano Azevedo x Jose Aldo
One of the most anticipated fights of the last months, the duel between Luciano Azevedo and Jose Aldo filled the expectative. Aldo started better, putting his Muay Thai that he is training with Rodrigo Ruas, to work. Azevedo seemed to not find himself in the fight, because every time he tried to take his opponent down, he was blocked. In the second round, Azevedo managed to put Aldo down, took his back and finalized the boutwith a rear naked choke.
Alexandre “Cacareco” Ferreira x Julio Cesar “Jamanta”
All the rivalry between Brazilian Top Team and Chute Boxe was put to the test in this fight. The BTT fighter, Cacareco, didn’t have trouble, taking Jamanta to the ground, mounting and pounding and when his adversary tried to escape, managed to apply a guillotine-choke and ended the combat with only 52 seconds of the first round.
Helio Dipp x Edson Draggo
In other fight surrounded by rivalry, this time for coming of the same Brazilian region, Edson Draggo went trough his opponent in only 12 seconds of fight. Draggo applied a real strong left cross, knocking his adversary and finishing with a sequence of punches before the judge ended the fight.
Fredson Paixao x Miljan Djursnovic
With an incredible career in Jiu Jitsu, Fredson Paixao one more time entered the Jungle Fight ring passing through his opponent. Fredson put all his weapons to work, taking his opponent down, passing the guard, taking the back until he finished his adversary with a really strong rear naked choke before 3 minutes of combat.
CYBORG x Michael Materla
CYBORG imposed his game in all the fight against Polish Materla. With a sharpened stand up game, acquired in the Chute Boxe trainings, the Brazilian dominated the fight until knock his opponent down with 2 minutes of the second round.
Jose “Pele” Landy-Johns x Alexander Shlemenko
Considered a ‘showman’ by the Brazilian audience, Pele made a motion fight against the Russian Shlemenko. The experienced Brazilian fighter dominated the first round, but gassed, and the Russian balanced the bout. The fight kept toe to toe and ended up decided by the judges in favor of Pele, with protests of the audience.
