Episode Looks Inside IFL’s Best KO’s; Continues Search For Next IFL Ring Girls

NEW YORK, May 9, 2007- The International Fight League (OTC.BB: IFLI), the world’s first team-based professional mixed martial arts league, looks at two kinds of “knockouts,” those dished out by its world-class athletes, and the young ladies trying to become the next IFL Ring Girl in the next episode of “IFL Battleground” on Monday, May 14, at 8 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. CT/MT). “IFL Battleground” airs every Monday night on MyNetworkTV.

Some of the highlights seen during this week’s episode include exciting knockout highlights, as well as discussion by numerous IFL athletes about how it feels to knock someone out – and how it feels to be on the business end of a KO punch or kick. “IFL Battleground” host Bas Rutten and Tokyo Sabres lightweight Savant Young (Pasadena, Calif.) take fans through the matchups and discuss some of the finer points of the art of the knockout. In addition, a special feature called “Gone in 60 Seconds” highlights some of the fastest KO finishes in IFL history.

IFL athletes whose knockout footage and reactions are featured include:

• Portland Wolfpack lightweight Mike Dolce (Belmar, N.J.)• Los Angeles Anacondas lightweight Chris Horodecki (London, Ontario)• Quad City Silverbacks welterweight Rory Markham (Chicago)• Quad City Silverbacks lightweight Bart Palaszewski (Wonder Lake, Ill.)• IFL Superfighter and mixed martial arts veteran Jens Pulver (Davenport, Iowa)• Quad City Silverbacks heavyweight Ben Rothwell (Milwaukee, Wis.)

The episode also covers recent IFL Ring Girl Audition events in Los Angeles in New York, as the league looks to add to its roster of poised, talented ladies. Rutten and other celebrity judges, including Debra Wilson Skelton (“MADtv”), Evan Ross (Pride, ATL) and Cassandra Jean (“America’s Next Top Model) meet a few of the entrants as they work to ultimately find the best ones to represent the league. Among the hopefuls are Chaunda Mason (Severn, Md.), Adriani Patterson (Encino, Calif.), Yasmin Spain (Detroit) and Veronika Valouchova (Laguna Niguel, Calif.).
