Mauricio Veio (Evolucao Thai) is in Oklahoma City at Lovato Jiu Jitsu teaching all week this week. I couldn’t begin to explain how excited I am. Mauricio is the Muay Thai trainer for Shogun Rua – my favorite fighter.
Here is a little back story of how Mauricio made it here. Rafael Jr went to Toronto BJJ about a month ago and taught classes for a week. While he was there, he trained with Mauricio. He enjoyed the training so much that he asked Mauricio to come out. Luckily for us, he agreed. You can see some video of Mauricio and Lovato Jr training together on the Evolucao Thai Facebook page.
I am hopeful that I will be able to get tons of pictures and video, but no promises can be made. I am hopefully going to be either laying on the mat from exhaustion or too busy training to shoot anything. If I get some pics, I’ll post them here and link to more. I’ll try to write a review after the training if my hands still work.
