MVP! Michael “Venom” Page VS Derek Anderson at Bellator 179

Michael Page is undefeated…  He’s about to go back inside the cage… And he’s fighting Derek Anderson at Bellator 179 on May 19, at the SSE Wembley Arena in London, England… It was discussed that a possible Page VS Paul Daley bout was going to happen, but it was decided instead for the fight to be given to Anderson since Daley was scheduled for to go with the former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight contender, Rory MacDonald…

Page, who is 29 years of age, recently had one of most unimpressive performances ever… He BARELY beat Fernando Gonzalez via split decision† at Bellator 165. With a perfect record in tact, “Venom” will encounter the biggest test of his young career when he meets Anderson in London. If MVP is able to come out victorious and mix in the pizzazz fight fans have grown to love, a title shot by the end 2017 would become highly likely.

Anderson, who’s 26, is coming off a loss to Derek Campos as Bellator 170, but remains one of the more dangerous welterweights on the roster. He has previously beaten the likes of Saad Awad and Patricky Freire after starting his professional career 9-0. Anderson has never faced a fighter quite like Page, but the same can be said the other way around.

The Daley vs. MacDonald will be the headliner of Bellator 179…
