UPDATE ON MY NEXT FIGHT ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ First, allow me to wish you all a belated Happy New Year!! Immediately after my last win over Kit Cope, I went back to training hard, because I expect 2006 to be a very busy and competitive year for me. Accordingly, I wish you all the same success that I hope to achieve this year.
Many of you have been contacting me asking me when my next fight is, what event, who my opponent is, etc,
On March 4th, I will be taking on the TKO World MMA champion out of Ontario, Canada, Sam “Hands of Stone” Stout. The TKO MMA organization has produced many amazing champions like George St. Pierre, David Loiseau, Mark Hominick, Jonathan Goulet and many others. Sam Stout is no exception as he is considered one of the most talented and dangerous fighters to come out of Canada. He is a very aggressive and well conditioned fighter with an MMA record of 8-1. He has some impressive wins and is a winner in the elite kickboxing event K-1 Max. With his world class striking, high level of experience in MMA and solid ground game, this fight has all the makings of a war.
It was a dream of mine to be fighting in the UFC as I wanted to test my skills against the best MMA fighters in the world. Today, it is way passed seeing which style of martial art is better. Now it is about testing the depths of every range of fighting, pushing the limits of your physical capabilities and seeing how deep your heart is. I believe this is one of those fights that will challenge every one of those aspects. I am excited with the prospect of fighting a highly skilled fighter like Sam Stout, because it will help me become a better fighter.
MMA-NO Gi SEMINAR DVD IS ADDED TO THE ONLINE STORE ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This seminar demonstrates techniques that you wouldn’t normally learn at a BJJ school. You’ll learn takedowns, counter/defenses and scenarios.There are replays in fast and slow motion of every move as well as competition footage of myself demonstrating many of these moves. Also included are two of my MMA fights and a highlight video.
