Congratulations to BJJ Legend Master Nino Schembri on his 5th degree
After 19 years of training as a black belt, Master Nino Schembri was promoted to his 5th degree. Nino is one of the greatest legends of BJJ from the old school Gracie Barra team. He was voted fighter of the decade for in the year 2000 by Gracie Magazine.
He is also know as the “King of Omoplatas” developing a lot of what Eddie Bravo later turned in to the Rubber Guard including inventing the Gogoplata.
In MMA Nino is best known for his brutal knee KO of the famous Japanese MMA Fighter Sakuraba.
