“Mayweather’s Better Than That…” Oscar De La Hoya On McGregor VS. Floyd

The great Oscar De La Hoya says it’s the “The biggest fight ever,” And it’s stage is set on Sept. 16, 2017, watch as Saul “Canelo” Alvarez steps inside the ring to face one of the most heavy-handed, brick-hitting, face-pounding boxers today…

Gennady Golovkin…

This particular bout, actually knocked a possible Floyd Mayweather Jr. VS. Conor McGregor fight off the pedestal for September 16…

That being said, De La Hoya, the guy who’s been behind the making this awesome bout

Oscar even advised Mayweather to just forget about the whole “Notorious” thing and go on to fight the victor of the “Canelo” VS. “GGG” saying it in a recent talk with ESPN’s TV show First Take.

“Even Floyd, after this fight with Canelo and Golovkin, forget about “The Notorious One” Conor McGregor,” De La Hoya said. “Forget about a fighter who has zero experience, who has zero fights, who has zero amateur experience. Forget about that.”

“Mayweather’s better than that,” he went on to say. “Mayweather, look, if you want to fight or have a rematch against Canelo — or a fight against Golovkin — go after them. After Canelo and Golovkin fight, go after the winner.”

Mayweather — who already holds a win over Alvarez — walked away from the fight game following his win over Andre Berto in 2015, but abruptly ended his retirement to face McGregor after months of back-and-forth verbal sparring between the two. But, negotiations have hit a standstill, and with Alvarez vs. Golovkin going down this year, it’s becoming more and more unlikely that Floyd and Conor will mix it up 2017.
