The Brazilian Website, Portal do Vale Tudo, confirmed that Paulo Thiago has signed a contract to fight in the UFC 134, which will be held on August 27, in Rio de Janeiro.
"I’m very happy, I’m signing the contract now, right now", he said, "I will face David Mitchell, who seems to be a tough guy, of ground fighting. I will train hard for this fight to make a great presentation".
The fighter told some of the main reasons that left him happy to fight in his country.
"All my friends and family will be able to watch the fight live, it will be awesome. Not to mention that I will not need to face several hours of travel to get to the city of the fight. Should I do until the end of my preparation in Rio de Janeiro just to not expend energy in flight between Brasilia and Rio (laughs). I’m sure that will be a great event".
