Pedro’s been instructing BJJ in the United States since around 1990 and is one of a very few to have his belt handed to him by Helio Gracie. Pedro was even awarded the “Best of the Best BJJ Instructor” title by the ADCC in 2005.
Before our conversation with Pedro, we’re going to roll a couple of quick chats with fighters from the UFC who I ran into yesterday at the Brazilian jiu-jitsu Pan-Ams in Los Angeles over the weekend. We’ll start off with Andy Wang, who our listeners will have the chance to get to know during the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter on Spike TV, which debuts April 5, just a few days away.
We also get a few moments with UFC lightweight and Nova Uniao black belt Diego Saraiva. The soft spoken Saraiva has an upcoming fight in the UFC in June or July.
