The next So Cal Pankration Amateur Tournament will be held May 21st at Imperial Beach, San Diego. This event is promoted be Victor Beltran of the Boxing Zone. Amateur competitors from all styles and schools are welcome to compete.
There will be divisions for Adults, Teens ( 14 to 17 yrs) and Kids. Each division will be separated by weight. Weight Brackets will be determined the day of the event so there is no need to cut weight.
Pankration tournaments allow strikes to the body, takedowns and submissions. Safety and sportsmanship are stressed. Each match is 3 minutes long and the tournament is double elimination with a consolation bracket for 3rd place.
This is an Intermediate level tournament but game beginners are also welcome. Pankration tournaments are geared towards recreational Mixed Martial Artist’s or prospective MMA fighters needing experience prior to starting out. No Pro Fighters allowed.
