Team CSW upsets Camp Pendleton in National Pankration Team Championships

“Photos – Team Camp Pendleton and Team CSW before the finals.”A strong Team CSW upset favorites Camp Pendleton in the finals of the USA Pankration Team Championship tournament held on July 26th in Santa Ana, California.


Pankration is the newest form of Amateur Wrestling under FILA and mixes Wrestling, Jiu Jitsu and Striking.


Pankration competitions are presently held in California, Arizona, Wisconsin, Illinois and Utah.


The National Team Championships featured 10 Pankration Teams going head to head in four team dual matches.


Winning teams advance in the tournament towards the finals.Each team had a fighter in the following weight classes plus up to 5 alternates: 135lbs, 145lbs, 155lbs, 165lbs, 175lbs, 185lbs, 200lbs, 220lbs, over 220lbs.
