The Ultimate Fighter 21 Finale Predictions

The Ultimate Fighter 21 Finale Predictions: Main Event

Jake Ellenberger vs. Stephen Thompson

Ellenberger was once thought to be a title challenger, but now has only won one of his last four fights. That one win was against an over the hill Josh Koscheck while his losses all came to top ten fighters. Thompson meanwhile is streaking having won four straight and taking out veteran Patrick Cote. If the fight stays standing, it will be Thompson’s fight due to him being the better striker. He can use his Jiu Jitsu on the ground to keep Ellenberger at bay and win a decision victory in his first main event.

The Ultimate Fighter 21 Finale Predictions: Undercard

Jorge Masvidal vs. Cezar Ferreira

Masvidal is going up a weight class to fight a bigger stronger fighter who is dropping down from 185. This will create quite a problem for Masvidal as Ferreira will be able to man handle him which is when he generally losses. Look for him to lose a convincing decision to Cezar.

Angela Magana vs. Michelle Waterson

Magana is not the best fighter in the world while Waterson is a top three Atomweight fighter. This means she will be giving up size to Magana but at the same time has the better skills than the TUF veteran. Look for Waterson to make an impressive debut with a submission victory over the larger Magana.

Darrell Montague vs. Willie Gates

Former training partners collide in the opening fight of the night. Montague was seen as a top five Flyweight at one point before two tough losses to title challengers. Gates has had won fight in the UFC where he was essentially blitzed. Look for Montague to finally prove why he belongs in the UF with a submission victory over Gates.

Josh Samman vs. Caio Magalhaes

Samman has been oft injured but at the same time he has been impressive in his fights with two TKO victories in under a minute. Now he takes on Magalhaes who has finished all but one of his last four UFC fights. Magalhaes may be the more well rounded fighter but Samman is bigger, stronger, and has more reach. He can use his tools in his favor to win this fight. It will be a back and forth fight, but Samman should come out the winner.
