TUF Vet Heather Jo Clark Returns from Injury

Heather Jo Clark had a memorable run on TUF albeit an unsuccessful one. She had a huge rivalry with Felice herrig and lost their fight in the house. She said she had an injury on the show but still fought at the finale where she took a decision victory in December of 2014 against Bec Rawlings. This was a big win but had to go to ACL surgery and has been out over a year. Now, she will take on undefeated prospect KAROLINA KOWALKIEWICZ who is 8-0 in her career.

KOWALKIEWICZ make her debut in December of last year against the highly regarded Randa Markos and had a great fight where she won by decision. The 30 year old polish native now has a chance to punctuate that win with this fight with Clark. The bout will take place on may 8th in Rotterdam, Netherlands to capture some of KOWALKIEWICZ fame as many people may travel just to see her fight. It will be one of the first times that Clark has fought out of the country which may be hard considering she may be suffering from ring rust at 25 years old and coming off a major injury.

As of right now the Bantamweight women’s division is in flux with he new champion, Holly holm, being dethroned by Meisha Tate. The promotion wants to wait around until October to have her defend the belt against Holm, but Tate would rather defend it as she has been one of the more active fighters in the division having won five straight. She has an opponent in mind in Amanda Nunes who has been streaking as well. The issue is if Rousey ever comes back which does not seem certain at this time, but she is keeping the division waiting. Only time will tell what will happen but with not many challenger not he rise as win for either competition in this fight could bring a jump toward the top with it.
