Lightweight bout: Jeremy Stephens vs. Din Thomas


Thomas defeats Stephens by submission (armbar) at 2:14 of the second round. Stephens protested after the bout that he did not tap, but referee “Big” John McCarthy immediately stopped the match when Thomas fully hyperextended Stephens’ arm.[3] This preliminary bout was aired on the pay-per-view broadcast.

Belcher defeats Salmon by submission (guillotine choke) at 0:53 of the first round.


Light Heavyweight bout: Thiago Silva vs. James Irvin


Silva defeats Irvin by TKO (knee injury) at 1:06 of the first round. In a takedown by Silva, Irvin landed awkwardly on his leg and he partially tore his ACL.[3]
