UFC Fight Night 70 Predictions

UFC Fight Night 70 Predictions: Main Event

Lyoto Machida vs. Yoel Romero

Machida thought he was on his way to another title shot but was absolutely destroyed by Luke Rockhold. He wanted to get right back in the cage and took on Romero who has won five straight with four TKOs in that span. Machida wins this fight the later it goes into the rounds with Romero really being dangerous int he first and second. As long as Machida uses his distance, he will dictate the pace of this fight and win by TKO in the fourth round.

UFC Fight Night 70 Predictions: Co-Main Event

Santiago Ponzinibbio vs. Lorenz Larkin

Larkin finally looks like he might be the fighter that everyone thought he would be when he entered the Octagon. Pony will need to use his ground game to beat Larkin who does have an advantage in striking and power having a variance of strikes to throw at the Brazilian. I am not sure if either will win this fight by finish even though they have a high finishing rate, but Larkin will take a decision victory.

UFC Fight Night 70 Predictions: Undercard

Antonio Carlos Junior vs. Eddie Gordon

This could be a loser leaves town match after both fighters lost in their last fight. Junior may have the strength and ground game advantage being a black belt and having dropped down from 205. Gordon has a good wrestling base with decent striking but is very green on the ground. Junior wins this fight by submission in the first after taking the fight to the ground.

Thiago Santos vs. Steve Bosse

Santos has had some losses but it does not take away that he has been fighting. Bosse has not fought in over two years and not too old at 33 that is a long time to take off. Boss is tough as nails as a former pro hockey player. Unless Santos will can get it to the ground, he will end up on the end of a brawl. Boss will TKO him after some scary moments.

Hacran Dias vs. Levan Makashvilli

Do not look for too much excitement in this fight as both of these fighters have a penchant for close decision victories. Unless Levan can do something big, Dias will use his riding style to pick up a decision victory.
