The UFC has announced a lot of matches in the last few days and here is your spot to hear about them all.
Rafael Cavalcante is set to take on Ovince St. Preux against at UFC 196 and it may be for them to keep their job, well Cavalcante at least. Cavalcante was a big name fighter in Strikeforce, but has had a rough time since joining the UFC. He was knocked out in his debut by Thiago Silva but thence back with a win over Igor Pokrajac that was followed up by losses to Ryan Bader and Patrick Cummins. Preux has had a better time since joining the UFC where he won four straight fights before falling to Ryan Bader as well then won two fights before getting beat by Glover Teixeira.
UFC Fight Night 82 is almost full with no main event though. For the women, Sarah Moras returns to take on Lauren Murphy with the loser probably leaving the UFC and finding a new job and Bethe Correia returns to take on Jessica Eye. At 135 for men. John Lineker continues his ride against the undefeated Cody Garbrandt. Multiple fight were announced for 185, with Derek Brunson who has won five out of his last six fights taking on the resurgent Roan Carneiro. Also,Joe Riggs fights to keep his job by taking on Chris Camozzi who won his first fight in the Octagon by sending Tom Watson out of the UFC on a loss. The third Middleweight matchup has Strikeforce vet Trevor Smith taking on UFC newcomer Leonardo Augusto Guimarães. The last matchup for the card as of now is the always entertaining Sam Alvey taking on TUF Brazil finalist Daniel Sarafian.
That is not all for the card with two Welterweight fights taking place. Brandon Thatch looks to stop his two fight losing streak by taking on Siyar Bahadurzada who has not fought for over two years. Also, Alex Garcia is 3-1 in the Octagon and he takes on the fresh up and comer with the same record in Sean Strickland. AT 155, James Krause looks for his first two fight win streak in the UFC when he takes on WSOF veteran and kick boxer Shane Campbell. The last fight announced for the card is a Heavyweight matchup between Anthony Hamilton takes on Shamil Abdurakhimov.
