UFC on Fox 19 Matches to Make.

Glover Teixeira vs. Anthony Johnson

Teixeira called out Rumble after his fight and it makes sense. Both have losses to the top two of the division, both want another crack at the title, both have huge power and great finishing records. Let them duke it out while Cormier and Jones sort out the title situation and it will give the undisputed champion their first real test regardless if they have fought before.

Rashad Evans vs. Mauricio Shogun Rua

Evans and Shogun still makes sense in terms of two aging former champions looking for a fight. The knockout loss does hurt Evans a little. but he was already coming off a loss regardless.

Rose Namajuanas vs. Strawweight Champion

Namajuanas secured herself a shot at the title with her rematch win over Torres. She will now sit most likely at 2 in the division behind current contender Gadelha. Let Rose get the time off she said she wants to become hungry before she get her second crack at the title.

Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson

Nurmagomedov wants to fight for the title which is great, but the champion already has a fight lined up. Still, he has been so injured that he needs more time in the ring as well, and in his absences it is hard to say who has the better resume with Ferguson’s long list and spectacular fight record in the last few years. Yes, Khabib has a win over the current champion but that argument goes away if RDA loses his title anyway.

Cub Swanson vs. Ricardo Lamas

Swanson and Lamas fought their first UFC fight against one another with Lamas taking a submission victory. Nearly five year later and both are floating within he top ten of the division despite some bad setbacks. Both have been top contender and would like to get back there. Let them face off to see who comes close to getting a title shot.

Michael Chiesa vs. Al Iaquinta

They fought for the title of TUF champion in the first live season. They both have come a long way and are close to cracking the top five after their respective wins. Let Iaquinta see how far he has come by getting another crack at Chiesa, or let Chiesa prove his dominance again as one of the best fighters of that season.

John Dodson vs. Michael MacDonald

Dodson proved his power and speed have stayed in his win, but Manny Gamburyan is not the toughest fight for him. Dodson was a top three fighter at 125, so he should not be getting many more warmup fights as he climbs tot he top. A rematch with Dillashaw seems imminent, but if that does not happen a fight with MacDonald is sure to have fans on the edge of their seat.
