Vagner is 7-1 now having just absolutely destroyed Jacob Clark at MFA Fights: New Generation V on May 7th just days ago. Many of these MMA sites hae underestimated Vagner but that will be to their dismay on June 11th. Vagner is a AMAZING Black Belt competitor under one of the best BJJ fighters in the world, none other than 2009 ADCC champion, Pablo Popovitch. Anyone who has been in the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Center in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl on a Tuesday or Thursday at 1:00 pm knows what goes on in there. Champions and BJJ Black Belts from wall to wall… Vagner won the 2007 Pan Jiu Jitsu Championships and 2010 ADCC North American Trials, and placed 3rd in the 2007 World Jiu Jitsu Championships, 3rd at his weight AND the absolute at the 2011 Abu Dhabi Pro as well as countless other grappling tournaments around Florida and the US. His extraordinary jiu jitsu skills aside he has done very well as an MMA fighter in his short career as a mixed martial artist. He seemlessly dispatched 4 of his 7 opponents in 7 and a half minutes all by submissions in the 1st round! 2 armbars, an arm triangle and RNC. If thats not impressive enough hes got the gas in the tank to go the distance. Holding a unanimous decision in Bellator 13 over a member of the legandary Gracie family, Igor Gracie, as well as his lone defeat to Bret Bergmark on the undercard of Strikeforce: Fedor vs. We rdem also went the distance. He even holds a 2nd round TKO over Francisco Soares at Bellator 13. His striking is also steadily improving as well. Vagner’s skill set speaks for itself and paired with the heart, drive and focus of a true warrior his entry into the UFC was undeniable…Come June llth there wil be a new contender in the lightweight division of the UFC..His name is Vagner Rocha.
I truly hope that the Cowboy knows better than to get into a submission shootout with Rocha. You will lose every single time…trust me ive been there.
