Former WSOF Featherweight champion Rick Glenn returns to the cage. He has not fought since December of last year when he lost his title to Lance Palmer by submission of the first round. He will take on Adam Ward who has not fought for the promotion yet, but he has won five straight before his debut.
Also at Featherweight, Alexandre “Capitao” Almeida (16-5) will take on Saul “The Spider” Almeida (18-5). Alameda is a submission hunter with 12 of his 16 wins coming by way of tap out. His opponent Saul who is looking for his six straight win after winning his WSOF debut by split decision.
Also at 145, is Rodrigo “The Young Lion” Almeida (12-2) of Woburn, Mass. faces off with Bruce “Pretty Boy” Boyington (10-8) of Bangor, Maine. The near 30 year old Almedia, is looking for his 8th straight win while his opponent has finished eight of his ten wins. Boynton has some room to make up due to being on the bad end of his thirties.
In one of two middleweight fights, Iraq war veteran Justin Torrey (7-1) of Springfield, Mass. will fight Rex “T-Rex” Harris (7-2) of West Pittston, Penn. Six of Torrey’s wins have come by way of TKO while Harris has one all of his fights by way of a finish either a TKO or submission. Do not expect this one to go all three rounds.
In the second middleweight bout, Louis “Handgunz” Taylor (11-3) of Chicago will make his debut against unbeaten Nicolai Salchov (5-0) of Dusseldorf, Germany. Taylor has won four straight bouts and has all but one of his 11 wins by a finish. Salchov has just as a good of finish rate with four of his five wins coming by a finish.
Washington Nunes Da Silva (5-1) of Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil facesTUF veteran Colton Smith (5-4) and the card will start with a heavyweight fight with Pat Walsh (6-2) of West Bridgewater, Mass. fighting Tyler King (9-3) of North Attleboro, Mass.
Also, an eighth bout pitting heavyweight Juliano Coutinho (6-1) of Cape Cod, Mass. against an opponent to be determined, will be announced soon.
