San Francisco, CA: For the first time ever October 19-21, the largest international Wrestling, Boxing, Roller Derby and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event occurs at the Cow Palace. Over 100 world-class superstars from past, present and future will be on hand to perform, sign autographs and take pictures with fans. Sports Promotions USA presents the initial annual WrestleFanFest 2007. Legends from all genres being advertised include Don Frye; Kurt Angle and all the TNA wrestling stars, Linda Blair, Dog the Bounty Hunter, James (Married With Children’s Bud Bundy) Faustino, Ron Jeremy and over 100+ other sports and entertainment stars will be signing autographs and taking photos with fans as we say a fond farewell to the Cow Palace, which is allegedly scheduled to be razzed next year. All of Roy Shire’s still-living 60’s and 70’s wrestling superstars like Woody Farmer, Kenji Shibuya and Rocky Johnson(Rock Duane Johnson’s father) are said to be in attendance. I’ll be doing a tribute to the late great Cow Palace legendary promoter Roy Shire, Ray Stevens, Pepper Gomez, and our beloved Annie Calvello, the official Queen Of San Francisco.
Kicking off Friday’s Extravaganza will be a return to the ring of over 30 Pro Wrestling Superstars from WWE, TNA and more including Kevin Nash and Scott Hall(“The “Outsiders”) as well as the top wrestlers of today, plus an amazing first-time-ever-legends match pitting Great Muta(Keiji Muto) vs Yoshihiro “Ultimo Dragon” Asai already drawing a record number of credentialed Japanese press. Saturday has a huge MMA Pay Per View featuring local and national professional fighters with 12 exciting fights taking place and hourly demonstrations on self-defense by Bay Area dojos and more. Sunday sees the West Coast debut of the state of the art Ring Of Honor wrestling mega-event PPV and a separate card of Polynesian superstars making their N.A. debuts.
Stone Cold Steve Austin, GoldBerg, Rowdy Roddy Piper, two-time Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle, plus Bay Area legends like Rocky(the Rock’s dad) Johnson who main-evented at the Cow Palace in the 60’s-80’s will be there plus many more headlining this monstrous 3-day event. Plus over 200 vendors showcasing sports and entertainment collectibles to buy, sell and trade. And movie and tv stars like James (Married With Children’s Bud Bundy) Faustino, Dog the Bounty Hunter, Playboy Centerfold and legendary femaleboxer Mia St. John and many others. Roddy Piper debuts his one-man show bound for Broadway with events all day long, all three days plus MMA demonstrations, classes and more. More athletes and entertainers are being signed daily including Joanie(formerly Chyna) Lauer who’ll be hosting VH1’s next reality show.
