Tomorrow, Saturday July 9, Grapplers Quest will host its 20th West Coast Grappling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Open. Hundreds of BJJ and grappler competitors from across the country will head out to the ever so tempting Las Vegas, Nevada desert to compete in the gi and no-gi amateur and professional divisions. The event will also host “America’s Best Lightweight”, a four man Lightweight tournament with Jeff Glover (17x Grapplers Quest Champion), Justin Rader (2010 IBJJF No-Gi Worlds Champion and ADCC North American Trials Champion), Alfredo Barum (Pan Ams Champ) and Romulo Romano. The winner will take home honors and $1000 in prize money.
In addition to the lightweight 4-man tournament, there will also be an Advanced Absolute division, also for $1000 in prize money, featuring Joao Assis (5x Defending Champion), Bill Cooper (27x Grapplers Quest Champ), Vinny Magalhaes (TUF finalist and 3x BJJ Worlds Champ), Jeff Glover (UFC Fan Expo Absolute Champ) and Rustam Chsiev (7x Grapplers Quest Absolute Champion).
