OTM Fighter: Charles “Do Bronx” Oliveira earns “Fight of the Night” at UFC Live 4

At Sunday’s UFC Live 4, headlined by Cheick Kongo and Pat Barry, OTM sponsored fighter, Charles “Do Bronx” Oliveira (14-1) earned “Fight of the Night” honors with his second-round submission win over Nik Lentz. For their efforts, both fighters were also awarded an additional $50k.

During that bout, Oliveira unintentionally struck Lentz with a knee to the face. The knee was not caught by the referee, so the Brazilian fighter had to wait patiently for three days while the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission reviewed footage to determine whether they would change the ruling. On Wednesday, the PSAC announced they changed their ruling to “no contest.”

The Brazilian fighter later affirmed the knee was unintentional and that he did not know Lentz was grounded.

Oliveira remains optimistic and eager for his next bout. When asked which UFC contender he would like to face next, his reply — “Whoever the UFC decides on; I’ll be ready.”
